Festival Manager, Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival

Chris Chin has volunteered, worked, and consulted for film festivals across North America and has spoken on industry panels in Toronto, San Francisco, New York, and London. He is an associate programmer at the Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival. Music is a big part of his life and you can usually find him singing karaoke or performing with Choir!Choir!Choir!


Festival Director, Show Me Shorts Film Festival

Gina is co-founder of Show Me Shorts Film Festival–New Zealand’s leading international short film festival. She is also a Board member for the Short Film Conference– a world-wide organization working to promote and unite the global short film community. Gina’s background includes co-owning and managing a cinema, publicizing art-house films, marketing an observatory, and participating in a water ballet troupe.


Festival Director, Seattle Shorts Film Festival

Daniel Hoyos is a filmmaker, and director of the popular Seattle Shorts Film Festival, now in its 6th year. In 2009, Daniel worked for the nationally syndicated PBS show Biz Kid$. In 2012, Daniel produced the short film No One Knows. The film premiered as an editor’s pick on the Shorts HD Network. As festival director of the Seattle Shorts Film Festival, Daniel’s goal is “to bring Seattle film lovers the best short film from around the globe.”

Film Coordinator, Reel Indie Film Fest

Based in Toronto, Canada, Cameron Carpenter has programmed both the Reel Indie Film Fest and the North By North East Film Festival. He has an extensive background in the Canadian Music Industry having worked for both major and independent labels. He is also a publicist, blogger and part-time DJ.


Documentary Filmmaker

Peter is a director, editor and videographer working in music and film for over 10 years. He has worked with artists Jason Mraz, Jewel, Train, and Jet. His debut feature film, Butch Walker: Out of Focus, premiered at the Nashville Film Festival and won the Special Grand Jury Prize. Peter grew up in Virginia and currently lives in Venice Beach, CA. He is a creative storyteller with rhythm and soul. Just don’t feed him after midnight….


Programmer and Director of Development, Key West Film Festival

Quincy Perkins is a award-winning film director based in Key West, FL. His credits include work on Cat in the Hat, Sweet Home Alabama, and Men in Black. His short film The Messenger was called the most controversial short film of 2006 by the Seattle Times. His short film Swingers Anonymous was accepted into the Cannes Film Festival in 2015, and his documentary The Little Firemen is slated for release with HBO this year.

Music Jury


Composer/Producer/Sound Designer, Auralation Music

Paul has a impressive career spanning 25+ years, starting with incidental music for theatre, including A Lion In Winter and Spring Awakening. Paul’s film & TV work is varied, including composing for Snapped and American Murder, scoring films Secret City, War and Truth, and providing music for A Southern Fix and Tales In Flight. Auralation Music is excited for the launch of new brands ViralMusic, SFXMart and ViralInstruments in 2016.


Composer & Songstress, White Widow Music

From Springfield, MA, Carla is a Berklee College of Music graduate. Her roots began in the NYC punk scene at CBGB’s, and as the musical director for actress/comedian Sandra Bernhard, who described her as “so fucking raw and groovy that it scares the shit out of [her].” Carla has shared the stage with Liza Minnelli, Rufus Wainwright, and Grayson Hugh. She has won numerous awards for her film scores, and recently wrote music for the film Spa Night, which premiered at Sundance 2016.
