Tickets for Short Films can only be purchased at the door for $10. General Admission seating is first come, first served, so please allow plenty of time to grab a beverage and a good seat with time to spare before the films begin. If you would prefer a reserved seat, you can purchase a VIP Pass and really help support the festival!

This is a volunteer run film festival. Every dollar generated goes towards our minimal expenses and bringing as many filmmakers and composers to Knoxville as possible. Thanks in advance for your support and enjoy the festival!

After being excluded from her cousin’s party, 10 year-old Mae creates Frolic out of ink and cardboard, then Frolic creates mayhem. An incredibly innovative hybrid of live action and animation.

A sensuous portrait of a young musician who begins to tackle the fragility of her own identity when her hearing starts to fade into a seemingly muted existence.

Last Call Lenny | Narrative Short | Julien Lasseur | USA

Lenny Upton combines euthanasia with his used furniture business to provide suicide assistance to melancholy customers with a death wish. Armed with a briefcase full of weapons and an eye for antiques, he custom designs a personalized death experience for his one-time clients. All sales are final in this darkly comic film that examines the value of life and used furniture.

The tale of a lighthouse keeper’s surprising discovery that pulls him out of his monotonous daily routine and takes him onto a journey into uncharted territory. Made up of over 14,000 photographs, The Lighthouse is a neo noir stop motion animation crafted by two hands over the course of 7 years.

Deported musician Jose Marquez and his daughter Susanna have been separated for almost 15 years, but meet every month on either side of the US-Mexico border wall.

As the animated short film unfolds, it brings forth a play of shapes illustrating the dialogue between two mythological forces – the West and the East. A homeless man is shot dead by police and a junior inspector with the Special Investigation Unit is caught up in the incident. Unsure of the validity of the official police report, she decides to do her own analysis of the many different video recordings of the shooting. She pieces the story together but it’s not until she deciphers the audio that the full depth of the tragedy becomes clear.
